GBR001 Hawker Tempest V (1:285)
This pack contains one Hawker Tempest V. The Tempest was a British fighter developed in the 2nd World War. It was designed to be an improvement to the Typhoon which was a failure as a fighter and a success as a ground attack aircraft. It was introduced as a frontline aircraft in 1944. Mostly used for fighter sweeps it found a role in stopping the V1 rockets because of its excellent low altitude performance. As the Luftwaffe was virtually driven from the skies the Tempest was also used for reconnaissance and ground attack.
