GEN13 CV Graf Zeppelin (1:2400)
Details
This pack contains a model of the Graf Zeppelin.
Never commissioned into service the Graf Zeppelin was designed to be the first German aircraft carrier. It demonstrates many of the flaws in German naval doctrine both before and in the early stages of the second world war. It had a compliment of relatively short range fighters and dive bombers but no torpedo planes.
The Graf Zeppelin was close to completion at the outbreak of war but by 1942 it had been accepted that the ship would never be completed. She was sunk, raised by the Soviets after the war and then sunk again.
