JAP015 Nakajima Ki-43 'Oscar' (1:285)
This pack contains one Nakajima Ki-43 'Oscar'.
The 'Oscar' was the best Japanese land based fighter at the start of the second world war. It was an effective aircraft, all be it lacking in armour protection, but the 'Oscar' did not have the same advantages over the Allied that the 'Zero' did. It's manoeuvrability still caused the Allies problems in 1941 and early 1942 but the fact that a few bullets were enough to bring the 'Oscar' down balanced the scales. 'Oscar' pilots shot down more allied aircraft that any other Japanese aircraft type and most of the Japanese aces flew 'Oscars'.
