JAP016 Kawasaki Ki61 Tony (1:285)
Details
This pack contains one Kawasaki Ki61 Tony.
The Tony was initially mistaken for Bf-109's in Japanese service when encountered. It was later thought that they were an Italian design hence the name Tony.
The normal allied response to the highly manoeuvrable Japanese aircraft was to enter a shallow dive and use the allied speed advantage to escape. That did not work with the fast Tony and forced a change in tactics.
