WSU 619 Il-2 Sturmovik x6 (3mm)

This pack contains six Ilyushin Il-2 Sturmovik ground attack aircraft.

The Sturmovik is seen as one of the most successful Soviet aircraft of World War 2. It was nicknamed the 'flying tank' due to its armour, although it remained vulnerable to attacks from both ground AA fire and fighters. The Soviets often overstated its impact as a ground attack platform, claiming tank kill numbers that are not matched by German tank numbers in the targeted units, let alone actual losses.

The Il-2 normally attacked in formed squadrons which increased the morale effect on ground targets.
